STEM

5-E Inquiry model

Our STEM curriculum is based on an inquiry model called “5-E.” The 5 E’s include Engage, Explain, Experiment, Elaborate and Evaluate. By using the 5 E’s, we create interesting and diverse experiments regarding a background topic that relates to our weekly theme. We make predictions before conducting our experiments and observations afterwards to understand our results. The STEM core segment is about observation, critical thinking and causality.

LESSON PLANNING

The STEM core segment is methodically planned by our Head Teachers and Directors. We consider topics that have relevance in our every day world as well as are accessible and interesting to young children. Our STEM core segments is also aligned, like our other core segments, with goals in the Early Learning Outcomes Framework and the Core Body of Knowledge.
