Frida Matute, Feeding Therapist at Indy Speech Services

Frida Matute, M.A. CCC-SLP, TSSLD is the Founding Executive Director of Indy Speech Services. She received her Master’s degree from Northwestern University in 2010 and completed her undergraduate degree in Speech and Hearing Science and Psychology from The George Washington University in 2008. She specializes in feeding and literacy for kids ages 18 months to 10 years of age. She has certifications in Beckman Oral-Motor and Sounds in Motion as well as fully trained in Orton-Gillingham through the Institute for Multi-Sensory Education (IMSE). She is trained in the Windward Writing workshop training as well as SOS Approach to Feeding. Frida worked full-time at NYU Language Medical Center’s Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine for three years before moving to Hospital for Joint Diseases. From there, she ran the pediatric outpatient speech and language clinic at Bellevue Hospital part-time for nearly three years while starting her private practice in 2014. Frida opened up her private speech practice to offer a unique therapeutic experience that is intensive, holistic and based on her medical speech-language pathology background. Frida believes in creating functional therapeutic goals that successfully align with activities of daily living, academics, and social contexts.
