A Play-Based Curriculum
for Growing Minds

Tailored for children ages 18 months to 5 years, our programs
foster curiosity, confidence, and playful learning.

A Joyful Learning Environment

At The Indy Lab, we believe that a child’s first educational experience is paramount to their later school success. It is during these early years that educators and specialists can inform parents on aspects of their child’s development to help them grow independent and capable. We believe that having educators, clinical specialists and families working together means we have the trained and skilled capacity to expertly exercise areas of development in each of our students. Through our play-based and gentle approach, we scaffold lessons by providing more or less assistance and making lessons increasingly more complex so that we can reach every single child at their individual capacity and work towards their fullest potential.

Child-Centered Education

We place the child at the center of the learning process. Each child is recognized as a unique individual with their own interests, strengths, and learning styles. The curriculum is tailored to meet the specific needs of each child, allowing them to develop at their own pace while fostering a sense of confidence and independence.

Experiential Learning

We believe in the power of experiential learning. Children actively engage in hands-on activities, such as science experiments, art projects, gardening, and nature exploration. By immersing themselves in these experiences, children develop a deep understanding of concepts, enhance their cognitive skills, and make meaningful connections to the world around them.

STEM Education

With an increasing focus on science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), we integrate these disciplines seamlessly into its curriculum. Students engage in age-appropriate STEM activities that encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and collaboration. These early experiences lay a strong foundation for future academic and personal success.

Social-Emotional Focus

Recognizing the importance of social and emotional skills, we place great emphasis on fostering a positive and inclusive community. Students learn essential social skills, empathy, and emotional regulation through collaborative play, group projects, and engaging interactions with their peers and teachers. This holistic approach ensures their overall well-being and prepares them for future social interactions.
